PURA VIDA BAKERY & BYSTRO CLOSES FOR RELOCATION
Pura Vida Bakery & Bystro is closing for relocation effective Tuesday, January 07, 2014. This move came about six weeks sooner than expected, due to the Department of Transportation’s fast tracking of the area for the freeway expansion known as “Project Neon”.
Pura Vida Bakery & Bystro is the first 100% cruelty free restaurant in Las Vegas and is owned by vegan Chef Mayra Trabulse, who has been in the “healthy eating and cooking” industry for over 12 years, holding certifications in Sports Nutrition, Macrobiotic Cooking and Holistic and Feng Shui Cuisine.
The Bystro opened its doors on July 16, 2011 and was buzzing from day one, catering to a never ending stream of diners from all dietary backgrounds, who are intrigued by (and sometimes obsessed with!) the chef’s delectable creations that have become culinary highlights in Las Vegas – and not just in the vegan world!
“Dr. Flavor”, as Chef Mayra is also known, has a unique acclaimed style of merging flavor and fusion from Caribbean and Southwest cuisines into her food, which can be described as gourmet comfort food and is bursting with flavors that have even hardcore omnivores craving second helpings of her vegan fare.
Pura Vida Bakery & Bystro will not be missed for long. A new and bigger location will be announced soon and expected to be fully operational by early summer 2017.
